Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa

Overall, as a recurrent Hyatt customer, I would say that I was underwhelmed with our stay. I was very excited when we booked our stay with two young kids based on the website, but everything just fell short. The staff were very, very friendly and went out of their way to make our small children feel comfortable. This is an absolute plus.This is very important, and I appreciate it! If you are are not familiar with the area (like us), beware that this resort is pretty isolated. Most non-resort activities and popular dining options are 30-40 minutes away. There are a lot of activities advertised, but it is disappointing to feel nickel-and- dimed for [almost] every activity at the resort. Fishing at their tiny pond, for example, is $40 per POLE per hour. You would think that some resort amenities would be included in the fee of your already pretty expensive stay. Otherwise, I did get a massage at the spa. Robert was absolutely wonderful and I would go back and get a massage from him any day.. I like the idea, but do not see our family coming back.

An absolute paradise for families! We spent most of our time at the Colorado River water shore—the lazy pool , Spa is a hit. The highlight for the kids was definitely meeting the alpacas and the nightly s’mores by the fire. The rooms were spacious (we had a Family Suite), and the staff was incredibly attentive. Yes, it’s a bit pricey once you add in the resort fees and dining, but for the convenience and the sheer number of activities, it was worth every penny."

What a unique property! Almost felt like a small isolated island due to the water and no other buildings or dwelling in sight. The entrance "driveway" is 3 miles long! So much to do on property if you're into outdoorsy activity. Hike along the Colorado river that's behind the hotel. Throw axes, archery, skeet shooting and even fishing. There's also basketball, pickleball, e-bikes and a lazy river pool. Staff were all welcoming and hospitality was tops.

Brenda in guest services was super helpful! She saw me and my sister struggling with many bags and pulled right up not only once but twice and got us easily where we needed to be. The rooms are large and clean! The location is a bit remote but very pretty! And I was there for a work conference so, it worked out well.

Lost Pines Resort is a beautiful facility in a beautiful location with amazing, friendly, helpful staff and delicious on-site food options. We stayed for several days and all the staff we interacted with were terrific but Le Lana was exceptional. She treated us like family and made sure we had everything we could need or want without having to ask for it. She was proactive, caring, efficient, and professional. The overall resort experience was wonderful but Le Lana helped put it over the top.

I’ve never been to a property that has smiles and kindness from every employee. I was blown away! They took note of my badge and called me by name remembered answers to questions that they asked me previously about a day or more away. The food was incredible. The property is exquisite. We were able to be productive and then also just decompress and connect as a team.

Our stay at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort was an awesome experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the valet staff was fantastic—and they even charged our Tesla without any issues. Check-in was smooth, and we had two connected rooms: one king and one with two queens for our kids, which worked out perfectly. Our kids are 15 and 20, so they’re a little older than the resort’s main target age, but they still had a great time. The pool and lazy river were awesome on the first day, though temperatures dropped into the 30s for the rest of our stay. Even so, there was plenty to do. The game areas were a hit—pool, foosball, air hockey, ping pong—and the bikes were a blast on the scenic trails around the property. We loved exploring the hiking trail along the southern edge of the park, and seeing deer everywhere was such a treat. The petting zoo was another highlight, with longhorns, pigs, and alpacas. We also did the UTV tour through the neighboring LCRA park and had an absolute blast. Our guide was incredible—a biology major who clearly loved what he did. We learned so much about the area, including the Lost Pines ecosystem and native plants like oyster reed. My son and I also tried the trap shooting, which was a ton of fun. There is truly no shortage of activities here. The only real downside was the restaurant service, which was hit or miss. Some servers were amazing, while others were… not. One even argued that I never ordered a drink and tried to give my wife a small container for a large salad, insisting it would fit (it didn’t). That said, a huge shoutout to Ms. Sonya, the concierge, who was absolutely amazing—she always checked in on us and somehow always had the board game Sorry! ready to go when we needed it. In conclusion, this is an awesome resort and a fantastic destination for families, especially those with younger kids. Beautiful setting, tons of activities, and overall a memorable stay. We’d absolutely come back.

FYI...this is a cashless property which means everything is charged by credit card or charged to your room however you can give cash tips for valet, etc. My husband had a conference here and I was his +1. The resort was very impressive. Our room was large, great view of the area and quiet. The concierges and valets were extremely helpful. Any questions we had they were able to steer us in the right direction. When my husband was in a meeting, I went to the pool which is a water park. The pool area is very large. It has an adult only area as well as a fabulous kid friendly area with a large slide as well as tubing in what I call a flowing river around the pool that was very relaxing. Also, I took walks which included walking down to see the Colorado River or to the coral to see the animals or just sit on the balcony outside of our room. I didn't go to the spa but the ladies that did said the spa was luxurious and so relaxing. The men who played golf said they really enjoyed the course. The conference room meetings that I did attend with my husband were impressive. They were large and didn't feel cramped. The stage, large screens for media and the sound was amazing. Very high-tech!! Most of all...Texas hospitality was prevalent in all staff in every area of the resort.
